You may not have any idea whatsoever that all this internal turmoil is stirring until it's too late. Suddenly your young Scorpio may explode with fury, like a volcano that you thought was extinct. His tendency to extremes manifests in very positive ways, as well. The Scorpio child usually has an incredibly active imagination and fantasy life. He can create fantastic scenarios in his head that include huge battleships, submarines, and naval aircraft while simply playing with a couple sticks and a puddle. Also, when he puts his mind to something, he will work relentlessly to see it through to the end. If, however, the initial idea doesn't catch his interest, there will be absolutely nothing you can do to change his mind. Which brings us to another Scorpio characteristic: these children are extremely stubborn, and you may burn with rage at times when he simply refuses to put his seat belt on in the car. At times like this, logical reasoning will have absolutely no effect. You can bring out all the facts you want regarding the laws of the state, and how it is illegal to ride without a seat belt. You might find yourself talking like this for hours without any positive results whatsoever. He's telling the truth. He was simply so engrossed that the rest of the world, including you, didn't exist for him. Don't let your intense and enigmatic child fool you. That remoteness is strictly a façade. Your Scorpio child has a deep need for love and acceptance, and his sense of loyalty is surpassed by no other sign. Don't ask your child for a loan, however. It could take a bomb to part a Scorpio from his money. Short of an emergency, don't give in to the temptation to order that he give it to you. The Scorpio child probably has a memory like an elephant, while the Aries mother tends to forget whatever has no immediate use for her. The problem is, he tends to remember slights and wrongs. The Aries mother, on the other hand, tends to forget them as soon as they're resolved.
