Hi Chandra. I feel so stuck in my job. I don't know what to do. I've been considering going to law school, but am also wondering if there's any chance that I should keep working as paralegal. I also really want to get back into painting. Help!

This is a very important time for you creatively in all ways, Tim - professionally, personally and artistically - it is no wonder there are many questions arising! In your Vedic birth chart, you have many powerful tendencies toward self-expression (North Node, Mars and Venus in the Fifth House) as well as the desire to serve society through the legal system (Moon in the First House and Jupiter in the Third House with Mercury - both in extremely strong positions). Pursuing an ambitious law career may be challenging for you in general as your desire to assume high levels of responsibility is wavering. We can see this with your Saturn and Sun in the Fourth House of your Vedic chart. Tim, thriving in a more supportive role, like being a paralegal, should not be looked upon as a failing. There is dignity and honor in these supporting roles and facilitating others whose karma it is to assume worldly responsibility. Currently, you are in the process of strengthening your self-confidence and at times this lack of self-confidence may prevent you from moving forward powerfully. You are more likely to be motivated and feel responsible for your personal feelings and well-being, not carry heavy worldly burdens and the grueling workloads involved with law school, at least at this time. Much of this self confidence comes from your artistic pursuits, so make sure to reserve some space for this - especially as these artistic goals can benefit others as well as yourself. Your art is really the vehicle through which those hidden parts of yourself can be expressed – the inner unmanifest voice brought to the surface. Public art works or murals or painting outside or showing your work may also be important. Communication of all sorts is an important theme for you at this time. By the end of this year and into early next year, you may feel a shift that kick-starts more professional responsibility into gear for you as Jupiter moves into your Seventh House and the North Node moves into your Tenth House. Jupiter is currently retrograde in your Sixth House, which has you reflecting upon these larger issues and how best to serve. Next year may be more opportune for actually moving forward with expanding your career serving the legal system, which may lead to attending law school. I wish you the very best of luck with your transitions, Tim.
